Create a Contract using AI Ingestion
To use this functionality, you must enable AI capabilities in the IT Asset Management Settings under Security > AI Features. After enabling AI capabilities, select Allow AI‑assisted contract upload.
Contracts created and processed using AI ingestion can be viewed on the All Contracts page. AI-generated contracts will include an AI tag.
To upload a contract:
- Click Browse to locate and select the contract from your device or local network. You can upload only one contract at a time.
Supported formats are: PDF, PNG, JPG, JPEG, TIF, TIFF, XLSX, CSV. Maximum file size: 16 MB
- Click Upload. The system will process and extract the data, which may take a few minutes.
If the upload fails, an error message will appear indicating that an issue occurred during processing, along with a brief explanation. You’ll be prompted to try uploading the contract again.
When the upload is successful:
-
A contract is automatically created in IT Asset Management with a Draft status, meaning it’s in preparation and not yet finalized, and you are redirected to the Contract Properties page.
-
To change the status (for example, to Active or Completed), you must obtain consent before making the update.
- To change the status, go to the General tab in Contract Properties and select the legal compliance checkbox to confirm you’ve reviewed and verified that the extracted fields match the contract terms. Until this box is checked, the Status remains as Draft and is read-only. Once you check the box, you can choose an option other than Draft from the drop-down list.
-
The contract will be visible on the All Contracts page, where all contracts are listed.
-
An AI tag will appear on contracts uploaded through contract ingestion.
To avoid errors during AI ingestion, the Contract Number field must be present in the uploaded contract. Without it, the upload will fail.
