Microsoft 365 family
The Microsoft 365 family page displays information about all related services from Microsoft 365, providing a consolidated view that helps you identify optimization opportunities across Microsoft 365 family subscriptions.
In addition to the information shown on the Family page for other product families in SaaS, the Microsoft 365 family page includes extra details on the Users tab.
If you do not have a Microsoft 365 connector configured, the Microsoft 365 family page will not be available, as there are no values to retrieve from the connector database.
Users tab
The Users tab includes additional table columns that provide details about the MFA status of Microsoft 365 users and the devices they use to access applications within a subscription. The table also shows users' mailbox and OneDrive usage data, helping you identify over-utilized or under-utilized subscriptions and make informed decisions about downgrading or upgrading them.
-
MFA: Provides the multi-factor authentication status of a Microsoft 365 user. The statuses shown for MFA include Enabled, Disabled, Non-compliant, and Not Available. The Disabled or Non-compliant statuses enable you to address enforcement and close gaps in conditional-access policy, while the Not Available status flags users with an unknown MFA status where further investigation may be necessary.
-
Device usage: Represents the devices a user has used to access supported applications within the last 90 days. The possible values for Device usage include Desktop, Mobile, and Web. Users can have multiple values if they have used more than one type of device. If there has been no discovered device usage within the last 90 days, this column is blank. You can use this column to help you make device-related licensing decisions and identify opportunities to optimize spending, such as downgrading or reassigning licenses that include desktop app entitlements users may not require.
note-
Device usage data is provided for the following Microsoft 365 applications: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Teams.
-
Activity data for Microsoft 365, including device usage data, generally becomes available within 72 hours, though it can take up to several days. The data shown on the SaaS pages reflects this delay in availability. For more information, see Microsoft 365 Reports in the admin center .
