UI Options

OptionDescription
Enable instance data refresh
Caution: When this option is unchecked, asynchronous precalculation is enabled; when it is checked, it is disabled. This option is disabled by default.
Enabling this option keeps grid data more current, but it may impact performance since the system will prioritize up-to-date data instead of the faster load times that asynchronous precalculation offers.
When enabled, this provides a faster, smoother experience on pages such as All Inventory, All Applications, and All Licenses.
Precalculation is a background process that prepares and stores computed data ahead of time, typically in a dedicated table or view, so the UI can retrieve it quickly. Rebuilding precalculated data ensures that grid views always reflect the most recent updates in the underlying dataset.
Enabling this option allows users to continue working without interruption while precalculation runs in the background. Furthermore, a blue status indicator and a Refresh button appear on grid pages to keep users informed of ongoing updates, and selecting the Refresh button reloads the data, including any newly precalculated values.
