License-Type Details

The License Type: name page displays detailed information for a particular license type.

CodeThe license type identifier.
Short nameThe short name of the license type.
Long nameThe long name of the license type.
Include in recommended license types for S/4HANAThis option should be selected if you want the license type to appear in the list of options meant for S/4HANA license types on the License Assignment Rules page.
ActiveA license type is marked as active if you are entitled to use it.
The status of this check box is automatically set when you import a license-type hierarchy from the LAW. This check box does not affect which license types can be recommended during license optimization.
Number purchasedThe number of licenses that were purchased.
Unit priceThe unit price for a license type.
Handling over-consumption of license typesThis option indicates how FlexNet Manager for SAP Applications calculates the license position for license types that are over-consumed.
  • Recommend promoting users to spare superior licenses � Over-consumed licenses can be covered by spare licenses of a superior license type of which the over-consumed license is a sub-type. This is the default setting.
  • Show deficits against this license (license is at risk) � Spare superior licenses are not used to cover over-utilized licenses. Instead, the over-consumed license is over-utilized, and the resulting license deficit can be viewed on the License Position page.

Created atThe date and time when the license type was created.
Last updated byThe name of the user who last updated the license type.
Last updated atThe date and time when the license type was last updated.

The License Sub-Types section lists the sub-types of the license type that is specified in the Details section in the Code field, including the following information:

  • Identifier � Shows the identifier of the sub-type.

  • Short Name � Shows the short name of the sub-type.
