General Tab
This tab enables you to view the general properties of a virtual desktop template. The following table presents a list of fields on this page in an alphabetical order.
Nearly all properties on this tab are read only. The contents of this tab are modeled on those for regular inventory devices, but most properties do not apply to virtual desktop templates.

Compliance status | Displays New for a virtual desktop template. |
Connection name | Displays None for a virtual desktop template. |
Device role | Displays Production for a virtual desktop template. |
Firmware serial number | Displays None for a virtual desktop template. |
Hosted in | Displays On-premises for a virtual desktop template. |
Host ID | Displays None for a virtual desktop template. |
Inventory device type | Displays the VDI Template value. |
IP address | Displays None for a virtual desktop template. |
Last inventory date | Displays the date when the latest inventory was received from any virtual desktop deployed from this template. |
Last inventory source | Displays the source returning the most recent inventory from any virtual desktop deployed from this template. For example, if the inventory was collected and uploaded by the FlexNet Inventory Agent, this value displays IT Asset Management. |
Linked asset | Displays None for a virtual desktop template. |
MAC address | Displays None for a virtual desktop template. |
Machine ID | Displays None for a virtual desktop template. |
Manufacturer | Displays None for a virtual desktop template. |
Model | Initially blank for a virtual desktop template, but you may overwrite this with some identifying comment where that is helpful. |
Name | The name extracted from the virtual desktop template. Not editable. |
Serial number | Displays None for a virtual desktop template. |
Status | Displays Active for a virtual desktop template. |
