Setting Up Custom Tagging

Custom tagging allows you to categorize cloud resources and improve cost tracking.

What This Step Does​

Tags enable Flexera to track costs by attributes such as:

  • Application
  • Environment (for example, Dev, Test, Production)
  • Project
  • Department

How to Configure Custom Tagging​

  1. On the Getting Started dashboard, click Start on the Set Up Custom Tagging card.
  2. Define the tag keys you want to track (for example, Environment, Project, or Team).
  3. Create tag rules or mappings as needed.
  4. Save the configuration.

Once configured, Flexera applies these tags to your cost data to enable deeper cost visibility.
