Examples of Unassigned Domains

note

The Domain Normalization user interface is not enabled by default. To enable this interface for your organization, contact Flexera Support. For more information, see Contacting Flexera Support.

As an example, the following organization's domains are unassigned and are listed in the Unassigned Domains panel:

  • my-company.com

  • my-org.com

  • my-company.na

  • my-company.eu

Flexera One will not do any normalization for these unassigned domains. As a result, if the HR Roster contains the following users:

  • joe@my-company.com

  • joe@my-org.com

  • joe@my-company.na

  • joe@my-company.eu

and no domains are assigned, Flexera One will treat each of the above email addresses as a unique person. This will result in duplicate persons in Flexera One if these email addresses belong to the same individual. Leaving all domains unassigned will not block ingest of HR roster data, but it may result in duplicates not being normalized.
